We always like taking road trips and last weekends Saturday 12th October we drove up north passed Ston through a handful of towns on the longest peninsula I’ve ever been on. Stopping at a town known as Orebic we took a ferry to Korcula. This pretty town is said to be the birthplace of Marco Polo (1254 – 1324) and there are plenty of tourist shops cashing in on that. The old town has loads of lanes winding around with shops hidden in them. You wonder how they make any money.

We only had an hour here as the ferry doesn’t run between 3-6pm (so keep that in mind) in the afternoon and we didn’t want to get stuck here for another 4 hours. So a quick bite to eat at a local restaurant and walk around and we were off again… Back to the car and then home to Dubrovnik, a very short road trip but well worth it.
